Welcome to the Institute for Continuing Education, a League/1199 SEIU Training and Upgrading Fund program for professional and technical workers in healthcare. Our continuing education seminars are designed to meet the particular needs of 1199 members and non-members, whether for certification requirements or a refresher course for those who want to expand and clarify their working knowledge of a profession. The seminars focus on trends and emerging issues facing the professions and award contact hours for successful completion.

Over several years, we have offered seminars to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, respiratory therapists, radiologic technologists, and dietitians. Our expanded offerings will include seminars for physician assistants, nurses, and social workers. Our goal is to span all areas of the professional and technical classifications in healthcare.
